Visit two unique environments
During a visit to the Cog museum or among the Vikings at the museum of Foteviken we offer company- and group guiding, including access to the museum. The groups may be associations, organisations or a group of friends.
The museum of Foteviken
The guide tells the visitors about the Viking reserve of Foteviken and about the exiting Viking history that took place about 900 years ago. One of the greatest Viking battles in Scandinavia took place in Foteviken 1134.
You may encounter some of the villagers inside various reconstructed houses, visit the Aesir gods’ sacrificial place and take a glance inside the various craft sheds!
The Cog museum
In Malmö harbour lies a unique museum. The history here revolves around two cog replicas in full scale. These impressive wooden ships are one of the most significant symbols of Malmö’s important medieval history. The Germans, when they created the trade union Hansa in the 1100s, introduced the cog ships to the Baltic Sea.
At the Cog museum groups can visit the medieval shop, the exhibition and embark upon the copy of the world’s largest Cog, or just enjoy some of our delicious, historically inspired food in our medieval restaurant.
